As bizarre three-dimensional drawings in space, the oversized wire sculptures, tanks and wheelchairs create an enlarged and impressive image of the the elusiveness of our existence. To emphasize the paradoxical reality Amalia Ulman adds an atmosphere of morbid homeliness to it all. The sculptures stand against a background of heavy, black curtains and are immersed in the sweet smell of freshly baked apple pie.
