In Serpentine Rock Navid Nuur creates a fascinating image of the first stage of creation. Everything is still in a state of becoming. Dead matter and living-nature are barely separated from one another.
A magnet in the centre of the stone produces a concentrated force field attracting metal filings that form a concentric structure in the shape of an outgrowth on the rock.
This bears all the hallmarks of living nature, but at the same time in structure and material is directly linked to the geometric order of the cosmos.
